Mexico hosts world fishing championship
The Mexican resort city of Mazatlán will host the Big Game Trolling World Championship 2009 from October 27 to October 30, 2009.
This renowned fishing event is a great opportunity for the beautiful resort, located in the state of Sinaloa on the Mexican Pacific Coast, to show the world not only the high standards of fishing offered, but also the professionalism, experience, hospitality and friendliness of its people.
Forty countries and more than 750 participants are expected to take part in this annual event recognized by the Sport Fishing International Conference (CIPS for his initials in French).
The championship will take place in the American continent for the first time in its 18 years.
Mazatlán is known worldwide as a leading sports-fishing destination. The resort’s waters teem with swordfish, Pacific sailfish, dorado, yellow fin tuna and striped, black and blue marlin.
