About the Author
Creating TheCatalist was a natural move for Jorge Flores Kelly.
An innate leader, Jorge’s career is built on a broad and remarkable background. With an international education and an all-round professional experience both in the private and public sectors, Jorge ticks all the boxes that make the essence of a visionary.
After obtaining his Bachelors in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and a MSc in Financial and Business Economics from the University of Essex, he went on to work as Planning Director at Mexico’s Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Fisheries, and was also involved in the organization of a presidential political campaign.
He joined the business world as General Manager at a Mexican leading private company involved in electronics before advising blue chip companies as a management consultant for Arthur D. Little.
Following his entrepreneurial instinct, he opened his own consultancy firm, Aporta (www.aportace.com) in 2002. He currently leads a team of professional business consultants working with the top executive and management teams of companies listed in the NYSE and BMV (Mexican Stock Exchange), as well as, prominent non-profit organizations.
He was awarded first place in Banamex National Economics Award for economic modeling and has published various articles in leading management and economics publications in Mexico.
Jorge is a member of Endeavor Mexico and serves in the boards of several not-for-profit organizations committed to making a difference. He is also involved in the group Mexico con Voz, a project supporting and promoting young leaders and ideas to transform Mexico through positive action.
